Bywong Ride, Sunday, 12 August 2018 – combined First Wanderers and Country Riders groups
On Sunday, First Wanderers and Country Riders can get together for a combined ride to be led by Peter Le Mesurier, with riders meeting at 8.45 am for a 9 am start at Dickson College car park, travelling via the Old Federal Highway, Bungendore Road, Gum Flat Lane, Denley Drive, Weeroona Drive, Norton Road, Sutton Road and the Federal Highway.
Morning tea at Sutton Bakery.
Distance about 75 km. Gum Flat Lane has 600 m of smooth, hard-packed dirt, suitable for road bikes. This picturesque lane avoids most of Mac’s Reef Road, on which we will ride for only 500 m. Terrain undulating, with some hills.
Cool, partly cloudy weather expected, with the chance of a shower, so bring warm clothing.
