Rond Terrace (beside Lake Burley Griffin)
Lifecycle is a fun-filled community cycling event, held at beautiful Rond Terrace on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra from 8:00am on Saturday 21 October 2017.
The Lifecycle Community Ride is a picturesque ride around the central basin (‘two-bridges’) and/or west basin loops of Canberra’s iconic Lake Burley Griffin, whilst taking in the event HQ atmosphere. This is a great event for social riders, families, and those aiming to achieve a personal distance challenge. You can ride anytime between 8:00am and 4:00pm (registrations open from 7:00am at Rond Terrace), and we will have a professional recording system set up to record your laps and therefore total distance.
Lifecycle is a community cycling event that promotes awareness of the essential work of the Leukaemia Foundation and raises funds towards the operation of a purpose-built Village in Canberra that provides care and accommodation for patients from the ACT/ Southern NSW region.
This year the focus is raising money to cover the costs of the Patient Transport Program. It costs the Leukaemia Foundation approx $17,500.00 per year to transport the ACT / Southern NSW patients.
