Annual General Meeting of Pedal Power
Tuesday 16th February, 2010 from 7.30 pm at the Southern Cross Club, Woden Town Centre
All members are encouraged to come and hear about Pedal Power’s highlights of 2009: our rides and events such as Fitz’s Challenge; our programs such as New Horizons for Women and Ride to Work, and our award-winning advocacy work.
This is your chance to contribute to our vibrant and successful organisation and help achieve our aim of getting more Canberrans cycling more often for a better community.
Business:
· Presentation of Annual Report (including financial statements)
· Presentation of Annual Awards
· Election of officers and Council members ‑ President, Vice Presidents (2), Secretary, Treasurer, Councillors (5)
· Appointment of Public Officer
· To consider and if thought fit, to pass with or without modification, the resolution: That Council, at its discretion, may approve payment of stipends to executive members, magazine editor, advocacy team leader and other leaders, to compensate for out-of-pocket expenses incurred in undertaking volunteer work for Pedal Power, up to a maximum aggregate of all stipends of $2,000 during calendar year 2009.
· Other business as may be legally dealt with at the AGM
· Then there will be time for general discussion.
Members may dine at the Southern Cross Club before the meeting – make your booking with the Club ‑ a corporate sponsor of Pedal Power.
Members wishing to nominate for election are to complete the nomination form available on this web site > about > governance or can be obtained from the office.
