Wednesday Social Ride

An easy paced 15-20 km/h ride to a good cafe destination - Kaleen to Gungahlin and return every Wednesday unless otherwise advised. So keep a check on this space each week. Meet at Kaleen in the car park on Maribyrnong Ave opposite Diamantina Cres near Scout Hall and Caltex Service Station at 8:30am. The ride leader will take the group mainly on bike paths (90%) but there maybe some on-road riding.

This is a fixed route ride where riders can join and leave the group at the distance and place that suits them but they must advise the leader. If you do the full loop it's just over 27km. For example you may wish to do only the two ponds in Gungahlin and the coffee stop. That will be fine. The aim of this ride is an entry level back into riding, absence from riding or in my case "running repairs". Geared bikes would make it easier but not essential. Suspension definitely not required.

Also see ACTION buses 56, 58 & 59 if you want to do only half the ride.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all Pedal Power bike rides and events are ‘unsupported’ and riders are to be totally self sufficient and provide their own water, food, tools, pump, spares (spokes, tubes, etc), puncture repair kits, and whatever else they desire and there is no ‘sag wagon’ or equivalent.  On rides with some support, the type and level of support is given in the ride details.
