A gathering in remembrance of Mike Hall is planned for the Canberra community at 6.10am on Friday 7 April, at Nara Park on Lake Burley-Griffin.
The gathering will be an opportunity for Canberrans affected by this tragedy to come together and remember Mike Hall, and support each other in our grief.
The British endurance cyclist died last Friday morning after he was hit by a car on the Monaro Highway, south of Canberra. He was participating in the Indian Pacific Wheel Race at the time.
Friday’s remembrance at Nara Park is organised by the Cycling Promotion Fund, Pedal Power ACT, the Amy Gillett Foundation and Cycling ACT, after discussions with the British High Commission, the Federal Police and others affected by the tragedy.
Please arrive at Nara Park well before 6.22am, when a moment of silence will be observed.
Location: Nara Park, Flynn Drive, Yarralumla (behind the Hyatt Hotel)
Date: Friday 7 April
All are welcome to attend.
