Canberra’s toughest long distance cycling event will return this Sunday, 29 October 2017.
Fitz’s Challenge features five demanding distances for cyclists to ride within a supported environment.
The event starts at Stromlo Forest Park, where an event hub will be staged for participants as well as their family and supporters. Stalls offering food, drinks and even massage will be open to the public from 12-5pm on Sunday.
The five distances – 50 km, 105 km, 165 km, 210 km and 255 km – are set across Canberra’s Brindabella Ranges and are sure to test every participant as they ascend to some of the highest points in the ACT.
Fitz’s Challenge is an inclusive cycling event and open to riders 12 years and up. If you haven’t yet signed up to participate, it’s not too late. You can register online until midnight on Thursday 26 October, or sign up in person on the weekend of the event at Stromlo Forest Park.
Don’t forget to bring your helmet for inspection when you sign up or collect your rider pack this weekend. Pre-ordered jerseys can also be collected at the event hub when you collect your rider pack.
Set yourself a personal challenge, and see the Brindabellas in a way few people get to. See you at Fitz’s on Sunday.
