Come along and join us for breakfast in Civic to celebrate Ride2Work Day this year. Put October 18 (next Wednesday) in your calendar now, and plan to ride your bike to work that day.
The Ride2Work Day breakfast is a chance to give regular bike commuters a pat on the back, and an opportunity to encourage workmates and friends who might like to give riding to work a go.
“Riding to work is an excellent way to get incidental exercise and avoid traffic congestion,” said Pedal Power ACT CEO John Armstrong.
“Ride2Work Day is a great opportunity to try riding to work and be rewarded with breakfast for your efforts.”
Hartley Lifecare will be on hand frying bacon and eggs to make breakfast rolls for the bike-riding crowd, and Australian Bananas will provide fruit to fuel the commuter revolution.
Date: Wednesday 18 October 2017
Time: 7:00am – 9:00am
Location: Veterans Park, Civic
The Active Travel Office, Pushys and Pedal Power ACT will have stalls set up.
Hartley Lifecare will host a BBQ on the morning for a gold coin donation with the following food available:
Mini bacon and egg burgers
Bananas will also be available for free.
See you there – you bring your bike, and we’ll bring breakfast.
