Making Canberra safe for everyone

Featured News, News 0 101

If you walk or cycle in public spaces, The Women’s Centre for Health Matters wants to hear from you.

The Women’s Centre for Health Matters are providing information to the ACT Government about areas that need improvement for public safety - in particular, safety for women.

Telling them where you feel safe or unsafe, and why you feel that way, helps the Centre understand what needs to be done to improve Canberra for everyone.

They are particularly looking for information about how women feel in Gungahlin, Woden, Mawson and Macarthur Avenue as the ACT Government are currently reviewing these areas.

Have a look at the WCHM Safety Mapping Tool and have your voice heard.

We want this to be a city where everyone feels safe.

To view more information about the Government replanning areas, click here for Gungahlin and here for Woden and Mawson.
