Four graduates of Pedal Power's New Horizons course participated in the Hart.R8 Indoor Cycle Challenge for Hartley LifeCare.

Over 1 in 12 people in Australia are affected by brain injury, a condition that can be acquired any time. Hartley LifeCare provides support people with brain injuries, their families and carers.

Fundraising activities like Hart.R8 help Hartley to support people directly affected by brain injuries, and also inform and educate the wider community.

Debbie, Margie, Maxine and Rosemary pedaled for a total of 6 hours at the Team Fitness Centre in Dickson on Saturday 30th July. They raised over $1,400 for Hartley.

Congratulations and well done ladies!

Our New Horizons program aims to help people find confidence on a bicycle so they are capable of riding anywhere and more often, while meeting like-minded people to join in their bike riding journey with.

The riding skills sessions and rides are all conducted by qualified cycling instructors and accompanied by experienced cyclists. They take place on shared cycle pathways and some on-road sections with the distance increasing for each ride. There is always a café stop along the way for refreshments and a chat.

The Spring 2016 New Horizons course commences the week starting 9 October. Get more information here.
