Pedal Power ACT is seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Chief Executive Officer to guide the organisation on its next phase of growth.
With over 7,500 members, Pedal Power ACT is the largest cycling organisation in the ACT representing the interests of people who already ride bicycles and who want to get into cycling. We promote the activity of cycling for transport, recreation and sport as well as the benefits of improved fitness and the positive contribution cycling makes to the community and a sustainable environment. Our key activities include organising high profile cycling events such as the Big Canberra Bike Ride and Fitz’s Challenge as well as regular rides, and by maintaining a strong advocacy role in the Capital. Pedal Power ACT has experienced significant growth in the past 5 years and is seeking to build on the solid foundation that has been established.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the day-to day operations of Pedal Power ACT in it is implementation of the strategic plan. Managing a team of four, the successful candidate will have proven skills in leadership and developing an organisation including:
- Financial Management
- Business Acumen
- Stakeholder Management
- Marketing and Communications
- Operational Management
The position will be offered as a full-time contract until 2020 with an option for extension. The salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on skills and experience. An indication of the salary package range is $100,000 - $120,000 per annum.
