The Big Canberra Bike Ride is one of the biggest events on Canberra’s bike calendar, and in 2017 it will be held on Sunday 5 March.
Pedal Power ACT stages this event to provide an opportunity for cyclists of all abilities and ages to celebrate safe cycling in Canberra.
The event is proud to support the Amy Gillett Foundation as the official charity partner for the 2017 Ride.
There is much work to be done to ensure that the ACT Government’s trial of minimum overtaking distance legislation becomes permanent law. Your support will help the Amy Gillett Foundation undertake this work, and to further our combined efforts to create a safer environment for bike riders in the ACT and across Australia.
We hope to see you there on Sunday, celebrating safe cycling with us. Please be aware that the program for the day is as follows, and there will be road closures around the event to facilitate a safe day for everyone involved.
You can register to participate in the Big Canberra Bike Ride on either the Saturday between 1 and 4pm at Rond Terrace, or up to half an hour before the ride you would like to join starts on Sunday.
