The Gift of Life’s DonateLife Walk is designed to encourage the ACT community to think, talk and act on organ and tissue donation.
The event will run from 7.00am to 8.30am with approximately 3,000 people in attendance.
There will be two walks that will commence at the same time, the short walk starts from Regatta Point and follows a route along RG Menzies Walk in a clockwise direction until they reach the bottom of Anzac Parade. The participants will then take a public footpath back to Regatta Point passing along the back of Nerang Pond and walking through Commonwealth Park.
The long walk participants will walk along the RG Menzies Walk in a clockwise direction, using footpaths on Kings Avenue Bridge and Commonwealth Avenue Bridge. This will involve crossing a public road at Bowen Place.
Due to such a large number of participants, Pedal Power ACT advise Members to be aware of this event when cycling in the area as there will be a number of walkers crossing the Commonwealth and King’s Avenue Bridges during the morning.
