Several intersections will be closed next week for testing of the new signalling system for light rail.
The tests are being carried out overnight with intersections on Flemington Road, Federal Highway and Northbourne Avenue being closed from Sunday 17 February between 8pm – 6am.
The following intersections will be closed to all southbound and northbound right-turning traffic, and to traffic crossing through:
o Lysaght Street
o Mitchell Resource Centre
o Randwick Road
o Phillip Avenue
o Morphett and Murdoch Street
o Macarthur-Wakefield Avenues
o Masson-Girrahween Street
o Elouera-Gould Street
There will be a number of temporary closures at the remaining intersections between Mitchell and the City to give light rail vehicles priority. Intersections will be re-opened once they pass.
Be aware that light rail vehicles will always have priority at traffic lights, meaning the order of sequencing will vary for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists.
