Pedal Power member Michael Braund, who sings with The Llewellyn Choir, is raising money for a performance of Verdi’s Requiem. He will do this through a sponsored bike ride.

Michael aims to ride up to 2500 km between mid-February and mid-May, and is seeking sponsors who will donate a specified amount per km or a fixed sum. Find out more.

The rides will be on roads and bike paths in and around Canberra, and will be mapped and logged. So far, Michael has completed 1033 km. If you imagine a bike ride from Canberra to Cairns, via Dubbo and Roma, Michael is now in Queensland and has only 1467 km to go.

Long-distance cycling can be lonely, so Michael will welcome anyone who wants to join him. You are welcome to join Michael on most Thursdays, starting at 8.30 am from the Carillon, or at other times by arrangement.

If you would like to sponsor Michael you can contact him on 0413 868 732 or mandolin@webone.com.au. Several Pedal Power members have already sponsored Michael.
