The Canberra- based Team Suzuki Women's Cycling team will ride in Sunday's Amy's Big Canberra Bike Ride.
Four members of the team will line up for the 110km ride, including under 23 National Time Trial champion, Ailie McDonald, and winner of stage 3 of the Tour of the King Valley, Laura Darlington. They are excited to be ambassadors for Amy's Big Canberra Bike Ride. Motor and cycling traffic coexisting safely on the roads is a cause close to home for the girls according to Team manager, Liz Fitch.
"Our first core value as a team is that we are committed to embracing and enriching the community. There is no better cause for us than the Amy Gillett Foundation and Amy's Big Canberra Bike Ride. Not only is the team passionate about safety for cyclists on the road but we are also committed advocacy, inspiring others to ride and to raising awareness that a metre matters," said Liz.
The team will compete in all eight rounds of the 2014 Women's National Road Series plus many other local and national races. The first round will be the Tour of Adelaide which runs from the 3rd to the 6th of April.
