Are you looking for a decent ride that you can enjoy with the kids? Is there a young cyclist in your family who is keen to try a longer distance? Do you like the idea of an organised bike ride on closed roads and paths?
Last year at Amy’s Big Canberra Bike Ride we introduced the new family rides. They proved so popular we’ve decided to do it again.
Your kids will love cycling with a big crowd of people along King’s Avenue, Parks Way and Lady Denman, all closed to traffic on Sunday 2 March. Kids will get to test their legs and their skills over longer distances and parents will be able to relax and enjoy the ride, free from the threat of car traffic.
Alternatively, you could opt to ride with your family for the first 10km, turn off for one of the longer routes and meet them at the finish. All rides start and end on the lawns at Parliament House.
