Pedal Power ACT is nothing without its members and the Pedal Power ACT community has an ambitious list of activities that we are keen to implement.
The breadth and depth of programs and services that Pedal Power ACT already provides could not work without the dedication and commitment of our many volunteers – and we are calling upon all those who feel that they could provide some level of valuable time or energy to assist Pedal Power ACT in our plans. Our volunteers are able to participate in a number of capacities – suited to their interests. Advocacy, ride leaders, major events, community outreach stalls, policy proposal submissions, office administration and social rides are just some of the areas available for members to volunteer in.
We want Pedal Power ACT to continue building into a stronger and more active community organisation, and we’re sure our members have a lot of skills they would either like to utilise or develop further.
We will be holding our first “volunteer meet & greet” event on 27 August 2015 at 6-7 pm at the Griffin Centre.
This would be a great opportunity to come along, share in some food and socialise with other members to find out more information about volunteering options and how best you can help.
Registration is free and closes Friday 21 August 2015 (because of catering purposes).
Position descriptions are now available for each volunteer role required in Pedal Power ACT. Positions exist in the following areas:
