Pedal Power ACT’s Cycle Well program provides adults over the age of 18, who are yet to learn to ride, with the opportunity to learn to ride for the first time.
Cycle Well is a tailored cycle tuition course for adults who want to learn how to ride a bike. The lessons are led by a trained instructor. Training focuses on improving confidence, taking first steps towards cycling on roads and learning basic skills.
The program runs for 5 weeks and starts on Sunday 6 November. It offers two groups – one for people who have never ridden or can’t balance or pedal on the bike, and the other is for riders who can balance and maybe pedal a little.
The course will run on Sunday afternoons and will be conducted in a non-traffic environment, with the focus on supporting you to learn at your own pace.
All you need to participate in the course is your own working bike and helmet – if you do not have your own bike, we can provide bike hire for the course sessions. The equipment available is limited so it is a first in/best dressed situation.
Because it is a priority of Pedal Power ACT to assist people with getting on the bike, participants do not need to be members of Pedal Power ACT to register in the course. The cost is $95 and places are limited. Sign up now.
