The Big Canberra Bike Ride
Canberra’s premier cycling participation event, the Big Canberra Bike Ride, will be held on Sunday 5 March 2016.
The Big Canberra Bike Ride was developed to provide an opportunity for cyclists of all abilities and ages to celebrate safety and cycling in Canberra.
The event is proud to support the Amy Gillett Foundation as the official charity partner for the 2017 Ride.
The Amy Gillett Foundation was established after the death of Amy Gillett, who was hit and killed by an out-of-control motorist whilst cycling with her national teammates in Germany. The Foundation works to reduce the incidence of death and injury of bike riders.
The 2017 Big Canberra Bike Ride features four different rides for registrants to select form:
- 5 km
- 35 km
- 68 km
- 120 km
The Big Canberra Bike Ride is an inclusive cycling event and open to riders 5 years and up (adult supervision is required for cyclists under 18 years of age).
