Amy’s Big Canberra Bike Ride
One of Canberra’s premier cycling participation events, Amy’s Big Canberra Bike Ride, will be held on Sunday 6 March 2016.
Amy’s Big Canberra Bike Ride was developed to provide an opportunity for cyclists of all abilities and ages to celebrate safety and cycling in Canberra.
The event is proud to support the Amy Gillet Foundation as the official beneficiary charity for the 2016 Ride.
The Amy Gillet Foundation was established after the death of Amy Gillett, who was hit and killed by an out-of-control motorist whilst cycling with her national teammates in Germany. The Foundation works to reduce the incidence of death and injury of bike riders.
The 2016 Amy’s Big Canberra Bike Ride features four different rides for registrants to select form:
- Family 5 km
- Friendly 30 km
- Warrior 68 km
- Dauntless 120 km
Amy’s Big Canberra Bike Ride is an inclusive cycling event and open to riders 5 years and up (adult supervision is required for cyclists under 18 years of age).
