Fitz’s Challenge 2015 – Canberra cycling event
Fitz’s Challenge will be held on Sunday 25 October 2015 and features five different hilly and challenging course distances for cyclists to ride within a supported environment.
The event is renowned for the amount of challenging, but achievable climbing required within each distance. The more advanced distances require participants to ride up Fitz’s Hill as part of their course, which is how the event originally received its name. Fitz’s Challenge has established enough credibility within the cycling community that the 210km and 255km cycling events have been approved as official Audax Alpine Classic 250 km qualification rides.
The course distance options are:
- 255 km Fitz’s Extreme(Audax Alpine Classic ACE 250 km qualifying event)
- 210 km Fitz’s Epic (Audax Alpine Classic ACE 250 km qualifying event)
- 165 km Fitz’s Classic
- 105 km Tharwa Challenge
- 50 km Tidbinbilla Challenge
Fitz’s Challenge is an inclusive event and open to riders 12 years and up (adult supervision required for riders under 18 years of age).
