A Pedal Power weekend away

Each year Pedal Power hosts a Xmas in July ride over a long weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun).

Xmas in July? Just because it isn’t December.

Explore the beauty of Bundanoon and the surrounding rural Southern Highlands.

Program

Friday Gather at the Bundanoon YHA on Friday evening. Settle in, meet your fellow Pedal Power cyclists and see some glow worms.

Saturday Ride the loop to Fitzroy Falls via the historic town of Burrawang stopping at the Burrawang Pub for morning tea. Return ride is about 69 km. On return see the streets of Bowral (including the Bradman Museum), check out the famous Robertson Pie Shop, or view the ocean from the escarpment. All possibilities are highlighted on the maps for those who wish to add extra challenges or make their own ways.

Saturday evening Group dinner at the historic Bundanoon Pub: start with pre-dinner drinks followed by set three course yuletide menu, all to piano music.

Sunday A leisurely loop of around 60 km via Penrose, Wingello and down Paddy’s River to the recently reopened Canyonleigh General Store, in the highland’s west, for some caffine refuelling. Return via the Illwarra Highway and Exeter to Bundanoon.
