Description:

From Weston Park follow the cycle path direction as for the “Lake Burley Griffin to Lake Ginnindera Ride” as far as Belconnen Way where you cross onto the path next to Benjamin Way. At Lathlain Drive turn left and follow the cycle path along the back of the Benjamin Offices to Luxton St.

Turn left and follow the cycle path which crosses Coulter Drive into Southern Cross Drive. You can either follow the cycle path network (with the help of the Canberra Cycleways Map) and rejoin Southern Cross Drive near the Kippax Shops, Holt, or you can ride along Southern Cross Drive, which is a wide, divided road with plenty of room. The route follows this roadway for about ten kilometres, eventually becoming Parkwood Rd at the edge of the built up area. Watch out for broken glass in the vicinity of the Belconnen tip (closed early 2002) , which you will pass along Parkwood Road.

Parkwood Road ends at the entrance to the property where Ginninderra Falls is found, leaving a short ride along the unsealed track to the carpark at the top of the falls.

The spectacular Ginninderra Falls are on Ginninderra Creek just upstream from its junction with the Murrumbidgee. They are on private property and a charge is made for admission. There are bushwalking trails in the area and canoes may be hired on the Murrumbidgee River.
