Description: This short ride is an alternative route for cyclists wanting to come in to Weston Creek at its southern end. Most of the ride duplicates Commuter Ride 17 from the Woden Town Centre until the bike path crosses Sulwood Dr., Kambah, at the Tuggeranong Parkway intersection, a little over 5 km from the start point.
Turn right at a sign pointing to Weston Creek and ride up Sulwood Dr., crossing Kambah Pool Rd and then climbing up the left-hand edge of Namatjira Dr. The cycleway ends about 1.7 km from the Sulwood Dr./Tuggeranong Parkway intersection at an entrance gate taking walkers up to Mt Arawang, part of Canberra Nature Park.
The suburb of Chapman is on the left and that of Fisher on the right and you can ride down on a footpath for 0.5 km to where Namatjira Dr. intersects with Perry Dr., Chapman, the latter road leading on to shops and schools.
