After riding for 4.2km along the Bruce and O'Connor Ridge ride, go left, instead of right, to a gate 50 metres away. Through the gate follow the power lines for 200 metres which turn sharply to the right, until the track emerges left onto the Calvary Hospital loop road. Ride right down the road towards Haydon Drive. At the intersection take a right along Haydon Drive and then left after 100 metres into the car park next to a sign :Canberra Nature Park - Gossan Hill (0.6km).
Leave the informal car park next to the "Canberra Nature Park: Gossan Hill" sign, and turn left onto the bike path next to Haydon Drive. After 100 metres turn right across Haydon Drive and up into the bushland of Bruce Ridge. Follow the bike path, with Canberra Institute of Technology on the left, until a gate is reached on the right. Go through the gate and head for the track under the power lines. Turn right on this track to join the Bruce and O'Connor Ridge ride (0.9km).
