Bike racks at the Jamison Centre had been unusable for months due to supermarket trolleys stacked around them.
Two Pedal Power members, who got frustrated by this hindrance to parking near the cafe, contacted the supermarkets’ management offices by email, and also ACT City Services through Access Canberra and by phone.
The Coles trolleys were moved promptly but it took a visit by the City Ranger from Licensing and Compliance, Transport Canberra and City Services, to get the area cleared completely.
Riders can now easily lock their bikes to the rack.
Thank you City Services!
