After a pause for essential maintenance, the country riders group is getting back together.
Country riders is an occasional riding group that ventures out into the Capital Region countryside and sometimes further afield, making use of the more picturesque and quiet backroads wherever possible, to take riders to a congenial lunch or refreshment stop and back home again. Past destinations have included Gunning via the road along the imposing ridgeline above the Federal Highway towards Collector; to Murrumbateman along Yass River Road; and to Weerewa Lookout over Lake George from Bungendore.
The first ride planned in our return season is between the Village of Hall and Murrumbateman, via backroads including some undulating gravel roads, for an outdoor luncheon at the Meadery, on Sunday, 25 September 2022.
