Member stories

Insurance in action.

Real Pedal Power members share what happened when a ride went wrong, and what they learned about having cover in place.

These are individual experiences, not a guarantee of benefits. Every claim is assessed against the applicable policy terms, conditions, exclusions and limits.

You never plan the crash.

A familiar trail, a group ride and a weekend away all became unexpected recovery stories. These members explain why rider insurance can matter long after the incident itself.

Membership insurance

Designed to support the rider.

Pedal Power membership includes personal accident and third-party liability insurance for eligible riding activities. The overview below is a guide only.

Eligible treatment costs

The personal accident policy can help with eligible non-Medicare medical expenses following a cycling injury, subject to documentation, the medical excess and policy limits.

Time away from work

If an eligible injury prevents you from working, you may qualify for weekly income benefits. Waiting periods, benefit limits and other policy conditions apply.

Third-party liability

The liability policy can respond if you accidentally injure another person or damage their property while riding. Policy limits, exclusions and an excess apply.

This is general information and not a comprehensive description of cover. Insurance does not cover every incident or expense. Read the current policy documents for all terms, conditions, exclusions, eligibility requirements, excesses and limits.
