Borrow a bike.
Change how you move.
The Pedal Power Bike Library works like a regular library, but instead of borrowing books, you borrow bikes.
We provide refurbished bikes, helmets and locks to help more people enjoy the freedom and benefits of riding.
The Bike Library supports adults and children who would like to ride but may not currently have access to a bike.
You might use the Bike Library if you are:
new to Canberra and looking for a way to get around
trying cycling before deciding to buy a bike
looking for an affordable way to travel
needing a temporary transport option
Our goal is to make cycling accessible, practical and welcoming for everyone in our community.
Bikes can be borrowed for up to six months, with extensions available when needed
How the Bike Library Works

Bikes are donated
Community members donate bikes they no longer need
.
02

03
