Cecily Michaels

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Cecily is an avid recreational cyclist and commuter, passionate about promoting cycling as the key to a more sustainable and connected community. She brings a wealth of experience from the not-for-profit sector, including 15 years as an aid worker in Palestine and Southeast Asia, and leading a digital literacy NGO. In her spare time, Cecily enjoys creating mosaics, tending to her bonsai, and riding her Triumph Street Twin.

Pranshu Shende

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT LEAD

Pranshu recently joined Pedal Power ACT as the Community Engagement Lead. Growing up in India, cycling was an integral aspect of his daily life, and is now thrilled to contribute to making cycling easier and more enjoyable for everyone in Canberra. He enjoys meeting new people, having great conversations (especially over a cup of chai/coffee), listening to music, and squeezing in a quick game of table tennis whenever he can. He looks forward to connecting with all of you and being part of this fantastic cycling community!

Mikayla Weber

COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING OFFICER

As a current Law and International Relations student at ANU, Mikayla combines passion for advocacy and strategic communication. A former triathlete and a social cyclist, Mikayla is a proud member of the Pedal Power team, advocating for safer and more sustainable transport. Outside of work and study, she enjoys latin dance, collecting vinyl records, surfing, and brewing the ‘perfect’ coffee.

Josh Green

PROGRAM SUPPORT OFFICER

Josh is Pedal Power’s Program Support Officer, helping to organise the communications, events, and activities that enable the organisation’s dedicated volunteer advocates to do their work. An avid cyclist, Josh is passionate about supporting local communities, with previous experience working at a student residence at ANU and as a disability support worker in Canberra. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in nature and drinking cups of tea in every shape and form.

Alina Murphy

OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Alina is experienced in program and office administration. She is excited to provide administrative assistance while making a difference to the community.
In her spare time, she likes to read, cycle, drink coffee and observe the amusing antics of her cats.
