If you’ve been involved in a crash, take these basic steps to look after yourself and make sure you can follow up on any damages or claims.

Make sure you are okay!

If you’re able, move to a safe spot away from traffic. And don’t hesitate to call for help if you need it.


Call Authorities

Dial 13 1444 from the scene or 000 in emergencies


Gather Key Details

Other party’s name, address, insurance info, and vehicle details (registration, make, model).

Names, phone numbers, and statements from witnesses.


Document the Scene

Take photos and keep damaged items.

Request Traffic Operations, note submission ID & date.

See a doctor and photograph injuries


Notify Police
