Pedal Power Social Evening: Bushwalking on a bike along the Canberra Centennial Trail

  • Canberra Southern Cross Club Woden 92-96 Corinna Street Phillip, Australian Capital Territory, 2606 Australia (map)

🍽 Dinner optional from 6:00 pm | Talk begins at 7:30 pm

Peter and his partner Fiona took up mountain biking in 2014, a little later in life than some riders. They describe their style as “bushwalking on a bike”. It’s an approach that keeps bringing them back to the Canberra Centennial Trail.

What is it about the trail that makes them want to ride it again and again? Join us as Peter shares what he and Fiona enjoy about exploring it on two wheels, how the trail came to be, and what its future could look like.

Peter was born and raised in Canberra and has been a Pedal Power member since 2018. You might know him from our social rides, the Bike Library workshop or his work on the Pedal Power board.

Whether you already have a favourite stretch of the trail or are curious to give it a go, come along for an evening of stories and conversation. Questions and discussion will follow the presentation.

Support Pedal Power while you're there!
