Join us for our next Pedal Power Social Evening as member Noel shares an unforgettable cycling journey through one of the world’s most fascinating destinations: Japan.

Last May, Noel, his partner, and three friends boarded the fast train from Tokyo to Onomichi, near Hiroshima, before setting off on an extraordinary 19-day cycling adventure. Over five days, they explored the stunning Seto Inland Triangle, followed by a further 14 days riding around the Inland Sea and Lake Biwa, passing through Osaka and Kyoto along the way.

From historic port towns and peaceful rural countryside to temples and hidden corners rarely seen by tourists, this is a unique opportunity to hear what makes Japan one of the world’s great cycling destinations.

Noel will also share insights into the planning, preparation, and adaptability needed for an international bike tour including navigating the language barrier, street signs, currency, accommodation, and yes, even sleeping on the floor. Thankfully, they drive on the left.
