A Heartfelt Thank You to Linda Laker for Her Service

After six years of dedicated service as Secretary, Linda has retired from the Board, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy at Pedal Power.

Linda’s dedication and willingness to volunteer have been exceptional. She was always the first to put her hand up, always there when support was needed, and a constant, dependable presence for both Pedal Power and the Board.

Over the years, Linda has been so much more than her formal role. She has been a mentor to many people on the Board, generously sharing her knowledge, experience, and thoughtful guidance. Her deep understanding of governance arrangements, together with her meticulous attention to detail, helped keep the organisation on target and on the straight and narrow, ensuring the constitution remained up to date and that strong governance was always maintained.

Linda also brought a wonderful ability to think outside the box and, over the years, wore many hats with grace and skill. One of her greatest strengths has been her ability to see things from different perspectives and points of view, which often helped broaden discussions and shift the mindset of the entire Board.

Beyond her role, Linda has been a deeply supportive and generous presence, someone people could turn to for advice, perspective, and encouragement. Her care for the organisation and the people within it has been felt by so many.

We especially wanted to acknowledge Linda’s tireless work, her foresight, and the generosity with which she has supported those around her throughout her six years of service.

We thank Linda warmly for everything she has contributed to Pedal Power and wish her all the very best for what comes next.
