Rosemary Dupont returns as Pedal Power President
Pedal Power is delighted to welcome back Rosemary Dupont as President, following the resignation of David Whitney.
Rosemary’s cycling journey began in 2014 when she joined Pedal Power’s New Horizons course for new riders. After a skiing accident left her with multiple knee injuries, a specialist recommended cycling, and she’s been pedalling ever since. What started as rehabilitation soon became a lifelong passion.
Since then, Rosemary has become one of Pedal Power’s most recognisable and respected members. She was a regular with the Wanderers 21, riding almost weekly for 7 years, helped establish the Wanderers 23 and joined the Wednesday Kaleen group as a regular for many years. She now rides her mountain bike three times a week.
Elected to the Board in 2017, Rosemary first served as President from 2018 to 2021, guiding the organisation through bushfires, COVID, and a major governance refresh that strengthened gender diversity and modernised policies.
In recent years, many members have known Rosemary for her friendly support on TeamApp and her leadership of the Social Rides Management Group. A former social worker and HR consultant, she brings strong governance and organisational experience, and a deep commitment to the Pedal Power community.
Pedal Power is fortunate to have Rosemary’s steady leadership and warm enthusiasm guiding us once again.
