Reid Risk Recall: A Caring Reminder for Safe Riding
At Pedal Power, your safety is our top priority. That’s why we’re issuing an important safety update regarding the Reid Entity MH 15 helmet, designed specifically for mountain bikers.
Reid Entity helmet MH 15 — This model comes both in Green and Blue colors
What’s the Issue?
A limited production batch of these helmets may contain a manufacturing defect: the male buckle end may not have been properly folded and sewn, potentially detaching from the chin strap. In the event of a collision, this could result in the helmet coming off and with it, serious injury or worse.

Act now for your safety
If you or a loved one is using one of these helmets, here's what to do:
Stop using the helmet immediately, regardless of its size (medium or large) or colour (black, black with lime, or black with light blue highlights).
Inspect the chin strap—if the buckle isn’t securely sewn through a proper strap fold, it may detach.
Contact BikesOnline or Reid Cycles to arrange a free inspection, repair, or request a replacement or refund.
Alternatively, you can return the helmet to your point of purchase to organise a safe swap or full refund.
Why this matters
This issue affects only a specific batch covering helmets sold between 23 September 2023 and 11 July 2025. The core design of the Entity MH 15 helmet remains fully compliant with safety standards and continues to perform as intended, outside of this sewing error.
A community-first approach
We know how vital it is to trust your gear when you head out on the trails. That’s why we’re issuing this timely reminder not just to alert you, but to help keep our riding community informed, prepared, and safe.
